Introducing Regina E Zimmers, O.D.

Following graduation from Binghamton State University of New York with a degree in mathematics, Regina E. Zimmers, O.D. earned her optometry degree from State University of New York College of Optometry, with a strong background in primary eye care and vision therapy.  Dr. Zimmers also received clinical training through an externship at Northport Veteran's Administration Hospital in New York, where she provided treatment and management of macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, and various other diseases, as well as primary eye care in a hospital setting.  In addition she completed n externship at Wenzhou Medical Hospital in Wenzhou, China; gaining experiance in specialty clinics including trauma, glaucoma, retina, cataracts, and strabismus & amblyopia, as well as primary eye care.  

Dr. Zimmers completed residency training in primary eye care at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Newington CT., with emphasis in treatment and management of ocular disease in a multi-disciplinary, hospital based setting.  From there she moved to Colorado for a position at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Cheyenne, WY. In addition to her work at the VA Hospital in Cheyenne, she has a  practice in private primary eye care  at The Eyes Have It in Fort Collins, CO.

At The Eyes Have It, we offer vision exams that provide you with an updated glasses and/or contact lens prescription while evaluating your overall eye health.  Our doctors screen patients for eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration among other health and eye care issues. We are currently scheduling exams out of our downtown location with Dr. Regina Zimmers..  Walk-ins are welcome for exams; however we strongly encourage you to make an appointment to ensure a time slot for your vision exam.
